The Bible as the Word of God
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, and it serves as our ultimate authority in matters of faith and practice.
The Trinity
We affirm the doctrine of the Trinity, believing in one God who exists in three persons: The Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.
Salvation through Jesus Christ
We believe God has called us to be a church that that follows Him by turning our hearts and our focus to God.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
A distinctive belief at Revelation House Church is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, often evidenced by speaking in tongues. This experience empowers believers for service and witnessing.
Spiritual Gifts
We believe in the active operation of the spiritual gifts, or “charismata,” as described in 1 Corinthians 12-14. These include prophecy, healing, speaking in tongues, interpretation, discernment, and words of knowledge. These gifts are available to believers today.
Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing as part of the atoning work of Christ, and we practice prayer for the sick, expecting miraculous healing.
The Second Coming of Christ
We emphasize the imminent return of Jesus Christ, believing in a literal second coming when Christ will establish His kingdom and judge the living and the dead. We also hold to the belief in the future rapture of the Church.
Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
Water Baptism: We practice water baptism by full immersion, symbolizing a believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.
Lord’s Supper: We observe communion as a remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.
Holiness and Sanctification
We emphasize living a holy and sanctified life. Sanctification is both a definitive event (being set apart for God) and a progressive process of becoming more Christlike through the Holy Spirit.
Evangelism and Missions
We place a strong emphasis on evangelism and missions, believing we are called to share the gospel and spread the message of salvation through Christ to all, following the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
Church and Fellowship
At Revelation House Church, we value the local church as a community of believers, where corporate worship, prayer, fellowship, and the use of spiritual gifts are essential parts of our spiritual life.
Eschatology
We hold to premillennialism, believing Christ will return before a literal thousand-year reign on Earth. We also believe in the rapture, where believers will meet Christ before a tribulation period.
